Big Bang’s popularity in Indonesia is leaving many astounded.
On June 9, the tickets for Big Bang′s first exclusive concert in Indonesia, as part of its ongoing 2012 Big Bang Alive Tour, opened in the morning.
According to the ticket sellers, tickets.com, “All of the tickets for Big Bang’s first Indonesian concert have sold out. On tickets.com all the tickets sold out in 10 minutes while on myticket as soon as ticket sales opened some 50,000 people came in to purchase all the tickets in 30 seconds and even led to a server crash from the high traffic.”
Such remarkable popularity by the group in the nation is all the more astounding considering the group has never held any activities there before.
Regarding this, a representative for YG Entertainment said, “As many fans were unable to purchase tickets due to the extremely high competition in purchasing tickets we have been receiving requests from Indonesia to add another concert date."
The representative however, did not state whether an additional date would be added.
Big Bang’s concert in Indonesia will take place on October 13 at the Mata Elang International Stadium.
